Dad's 50th Birthday

My dad is the best dad in the world. He has always been there for me whenever I need to talk, cry, or have a good laugh. He is awesome and I have so many great memories of now and when I was growing up. My dad turned 50 on Friday. He doesn't look 50 at all and he surely doesn't act 50. :) We through a big party for him on Saturday night. It was so much fun to spend time with family and friends celebrating a great man's birthday. Here are some pictures from the party.
My pinterest inspiration. Took pictures of my dad when he was growing up
and made this 50.

Love this cake. Bright and colorful.

My wonderful dad and I.

My grandparents. (My grandpa has a mullet hat on, he thinks
he is funny.)

Weekend Pictures

This past weekend was wonderful. I was on fall break so I had a 5 day weekend since most weeks I don't have class on Fridays. It is great! On Friday my family and I went to the Sabetha High football game against NV. Even though I been out of high school for almost 5 years I still have the rivalry against the school that is 15 minutes west of Sabetha. :) Then Saturday was the big Kansas rivalry, KSU vs KU. Donna, Sam and I left at 6:30 am to get to Manhattan at a good time to tailgate and to freeze our behinds off. It was super cold but we enjoyed every minute of it. I even got to see some of my high school classmates and hang out with them during the 2nd half of the game. GO CATS! Saturday was also Hunter's 1st birthday. I'm so happy I got to see him on his birthday.

My parents, love them so much.

Me: "Kiera let me take a picture of you."
Kiera:"Just wait." (Striking a pose) "Ok I'm ready." :)

This isn't some random picture. I had to take a picture of
Michael Bishop (one in the grey stocking cap and purple coat) for Daniel
to prove I know what I am talking about. Could never get a picture of his face though

Birthday Boy!

I thiknk TD and Rae were more thrilled for the birthday celebrations.

It seems like I take all these pictures of Dora but I never seem to post them. Amy took this last picture when we were taking our save-the-date pictures. She is my baby and I think she is the cutest, sweetest dog. Thank you Amy for the picture!

It has been awhile...

I haven't posted in a long time. There is really no excuse I just haven't thought about my blog. The last couple of weeks though I have been meaning to add a new post but school has been super busy. So I will update on the two things that really are consuming my life right now. This might be a long post so sorry if you are reading this.
Wedding update:

  1. I have my wedding dress ordered!!! It should be at the shop in November. :)
  2. Finally have my DJ booked.
  3. All of my beautiful bridesmaids have found a dress that they liked, and we will order them in December.
  4. We just took our Save-The-Date picture this weekend. I really want to post it but I want them to be a surprise to people when they come in the mail. :)
School update:
  1. I turned in my student teaching application in and put my top three school placements in.
  2. I am teaching my literacy practicum at Auburn Elementary, Kindergarten. I LOVE it.
  3. Only two more months of being at Washburn everyday. :)

Here are some pictures that I have taken in the last month. All of them surround a football games because I stink at taking pictures of my life and the wonderful people in it.
KSU vs Miami...GO CATS!!
I love Friday night lights at SHS.

My birthday landed on a Saturday and home KSU game. I was so
happy even though it wasn't the best game, we still got a W.

My friend Brenna and I. Such a great friend.

Logan marching in homecoming parade.

Bud driving the Keim truck in the parade, with Rae in the passenger seat.
Love the look of  these trucks.

I don't know when it will sink in that Logan is a senior. What!?
This picture makes me laugh...they all looked bored.
